Jackson eats 19/7/21-25/7/21

Hello little foodies!

Sorry I was very busy this week and I did not keep up with taking photos of Jackson’s meals.

Not only have we been eating out a few times, but Jackson’s birthday is coming up and I have been busy with the planning and preparations.

It’s not much, but here they are; Jackson’s meals for the week 19/7/21-25/7/21:

Hello little foodies!

It is winter right now over here in Australia and steamboat is one of my favourite things about winter. You will see many steamboat meals for Jackson since it is one of our family favourites, and not just in winter, because we love steamboat in summer as well.

The best thing about steamboat is you can have anything you want in it, so everyone gets what they want and there’s also so much variety.

Jackson loves joining us for steamboat.

Jackson usually has some chicken, fish, corn, noodles or pasta, and some veggies.

I love how steamboat promotes eating together and just enjoying each others company. Jackson absolutely loves eating together with mummy and daddy.

Anyway, here are some of the meals that Jackson had from 12/7/21-18/7/21:

Hello little foodies!

Hello little foodies!

Here’s the SPAM for week number four.

As you will notice we have a new plate! Jackson has been successfully pulling his bamboo plates off the tray so I invested in a new plate from We Might Be Tiny. I also purchased the lid for when we eat out and also one of their placemats (absolutely love this!).

At first, Jackson couldn’t pull it off the tray, but after day two, he figured it out 🤦🏻‍♀️ I guess he’s just too smart, which I can’t complain about.

Anyways, here are the meals for week 5/7/21-11/7/21:

Hello little foodies!

Here we go! SPAM week number three!

During this week, Jackson turned 11 months and he is on the move. He has mastered pulling himself up and has been using the furniture to walk around. Not long before he starts walking. Watch this space!

Hello little foodies!

SPAM week number two coming right up!

Before we get into it, can we take a moment to appreciate how awesome the bibado is. As you can see above, it covers everything. It not only kept Jackson nice and clean, it also saved our pram from random bits of food getting lost in the many hidden crevices. It definitely goes on my must have items for starting solids. Speaking of must-have items, comment below if you would like a post about it.

Hello little foodies!

Hope you’ve all been well.

Not sure what happened, but I just realised I haven’t posted in a while. Oops! The last month went by really quickly and before I knew it, it’s already August in a couple of days.

I am going to upload all the meals from each week and get you up to date, so get ready for some major SPAM!

Lets start with where we left off. Here are the meals for week 14/6/21-20/6/21:

Breakfast

Lunch/Dinner

Jackson eats 7/6/21-13/6/21

Hello little foodies!

Sorry for the very late post.

We had a busy week last week. Jackson started pulling himself up and standing everywhere and he also wont stop moving… so pretty much the same as the previous week, but more!

He’s getting more confident and daring now. If I’m nearby he will let go of whatever he is using to support himself and will be free standing for a few moments before he launches himself at me.

So, this week Jackson ate some of his meals in his highchair and then he would start scratching at his stork mark (which has suddenly become very itchy), and wanting me to carry him for the rest of his meals.

Here’s what Jackson ate this week:

Hello little foodies!

Jackson turned 10 months this week!

I can barely keep up with him now. He is climbing everything in sight. Every day he just gets more stable and is constantly moving. He is now crawling on hands and knees, whereas he was only army crawling before. And he is so interactive and chatty. He loves to read books and flip the pages. He also loves to hi-five and cheers with his sippy cup when having meals. He is slowly becoming a little human with his own personality and interests. Every day he surprises me with how much he is growing and I can’t believe in less than two months, he will be one years old.

So here we have another week and of course another tooth coming through. Can’t believe that after all the pain of teething, they still have to lose all their baby teeth for the adult teeth to come through.

Jackson’s appetite has been on and off all week. He mostly eats lunch and dinner pretty well, but breakfast is always a hit or miss. Not to mention we are adding snacks now too so he must be getting full from all the food.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have many pictures this week. Jackson doesn’t like staying in one spot and has been quite impatient when I put him into his highchair. So sometimes I have had to just get his food on his tray without taking pictures or he is happily roaming around in the walker during mealtime and he would come to me while I place bits of food onto his snack tray.

Here’s what I managed to get on Jackson’s plate this week:

Lunch/Dinner

So there we have another week of meals. If you’re looking for videos of Jackson eating, please head over to my instagram page. Have a great week everyone.

Jackson eats 24/5/21-30/5/21

Hello little foodies!

This week we have had a very mobile Jackson. All he wanted to do was pull himself up and stand.

He also didn’t like being in his highchair for long and sometimes wanted me to carry him and feed him the rest of his meals or sometimes we would feed him in his walker.

Although he didn’t exactly self feed, I still follow his cues and let him decide if he wants to eat or not.

If he was in his walker, he would roam around and come back to me when he wanted more food. His walker has a snack tray and I would put his food onto the tray and he would feed himself, or I would hold the food out in front of him and he would grab my hand and guide the food into his mouth.

If I was carrying him, I would hold the food out in front of him and let him decide if he wants it or not. If he does, he would open his mouth or grab my hand and guide the food to his mouth. If he isn’t hungry anymore, he would look away or turn his head away when I held the food out for him to see.

I know it’s not ideal, but I’m sure its just a phase since he has just started moving more and doesn’t want to stay put in one spot for long.

Any way, here is what Jackson ate this week:

Breakfast

Lunch/Dinner

We had quite a few new dishes this week and also tried a non-breakfast food for breakfast because Jackson wasn’t eating his breakfast (except for the fruit).

Overall we had a good eating week. Although Jackson wanted to be fed by me a lot this week, he ate a lot because of it. I feel like he also knew that he will get full faster if mummy fed him.

Hope you are all having a lovely week x

Jackson eats 17/5/21-23/5/21

Hello little foodies!

I have started to notice that Jackson doesn’t like breakfast foods very much. He will eat the fruit, but barely (or sometimes never) touches the other items on the plate. If anyone else has experienced this with their little foodie, please let me know what you did in the comments.

The other two meals have been good though. Jackson will eat most of it especially the meals with chicken. However, some of the meals he wanted me to feed him – with my hands, not a spoon. He doesn’t let me spoon feed him.

I think it’s because he has become very mobile in the last week. He has been trying to climb up on everything and we have a walker that he is loving right now. So I think he doesn’t like staying in one spot for long. I really hope he is just going through a phase.

Here are this weeks meals:

Breakfast

Lunch/Dinner

Hope you all had a great week. I hear that a lot of people are enjoying going back out again since lockdown restrictions have eased in their countries. I hope we will see the end of covid and be able to travel again soon.
